BEST FACE FORWARD: MUDRAA

Hello people,
So its been a while(make that a little long while, lol) since ,my last post. A lot has happened. Its good to be back and posting, yaaay.
So, I'll be featuring one of my clients who called me a while back.

Mudraah had an event to attend; it was a friend's wedding and a high school reunion of sorts as she would be meeting with a lot of old friends. She wanted a subtle but very elegant look and I was determined to give her exactly that. I was glad she enjoyed the final outcome and I hope you do too.

Below are a list of products I used, what, how and why i used them.

SKIN PREP: No 7 primer and a lilac corrector to prime and brighten her skin. (Lilac correctors give a glow to dull skin or just act as a general skin brightener) i especially like to use them for dark skin tones. The always give an airbruashed finish.

FOUNDATION: Black opal stick foundation in 'beautiful bronze' for the centre of her face and marykay medium coverage foundation in '708' for the perimeters. Under her eyes, I used black opal stick foundation in 'nutmeg' to highlight the area.

POWDER: Milani pressed powder in pecan and earth glow

EYESHADOW AND LASHES: Inglot freedom system eyeshadow and my lashes in '415'

BROWS: zaron brow powder and mary kay medium coverage foundation in '507' to highlight and define the brow area.

BLUSH: Black radiance blush in 'plum sorbet'

LIPS: I usually blend a variety of lip tones till i get whay i want. But i basically used zaron lipliner in 'brick chick' and 'fussy fushia'. Lipstick was liptar in 'feathered' and mac lipglass was added for a little shine.

I look forward to your comments and questions and will do my best to answer them.
Till my next post,
Stay blessed and even more beautiful.
MO.

Twinnies...fabulousity

Hello beautiful people,
It's another beautiful day and I'll be posting pictures of some of my works and products I used to achieve the look.

I had the opportunity if doing makeup for a set of identical twins and it was such a pleasurable experience. When they're apart, I can hardly tell who is who but seeing them together in one space made the distinction easier. Taiwo and Kehinde have wonderful skin and making them up is always a dream. For their foundation, I used Marykay medium coverage foundation in 607&808 and set with a dusting of milani pressed powder.

For their eyes, I used inglot's freedom system eyeshadow in "413"and mabrook black and MAC "embark" to contour and give the eyes a smokey edge. My strip lashes were applied in #747S and then their brows were filled in with zaron eyebrow powder and highlighted with Marykay foundation in 600. For the cheeks, I used a mixture of black radiance "plum sorbet" and zaron " " plum wine".

For their lips, they wanted something different from each other so I used Zaron's mahogany lipliner and barefaced lipstick for kehinde and a mixture of zaron "distinct" and " sweet kiss" lipsticks for Taiwo. Both lips were given a coat of MAC clear lipglass for a hint of sheen.

Please view their pictures and tell me what you think. Your comments and suggestions and highly welcome and regarded.
Stay blessed....and beautiful

Till my next post

Product review: Zaron "firework" lipstick

Hello everyone,
It's been a little while since my last post. But like I promised, I'll do my best to share as much as I can on makeup products in the most objective way(with no bias). So here I am today going to do a review in on

e of Zaron's moisturizing lipsticks: firework.

I've been using Zaron's products for a few months now and frankly I'm very impressed with how far they've come and how they constantly do their best to improve on their products and meet the needs on their consumers.

Recently, a new shade was produced and I decided to purchase and try it out, so I headed to their store and got  "firework" moisturizing lipstick.

As is my custom, I used the lipstick first before recommending to my clients. This I do to check the quality and how long it lasts. I also test for reactions and the likes.

Description
Firework comes in the custom black tube that characterizes the zaron brand

Colour
The hue is an orange with a vibrant red undertone, and depending on the tone if your natural lips, the output may vary from one individual to the other.

Pigment and Colour payoff
The pigments are very rich and strong and colour lasts up to 12 hours. (This is based on how long I wore it for and my observation).

Below are pictures of a swatch in did of the lipstick and also of makeup i did for the MAC masterclass I attended yesterday.

Well, this is my first blog post and I'm pretty excited. Lol.

Before we go along, I would like to use this opportunity to let you all know a little about me and my journey into the world of makeup artistry.

Needless to say my love for makeup knows no bounds and it would be of immense pleasure to share as much as I can with you, in terms of product reviews and other events and experiences related to makeup.

I therefore urge you all to keep a look out for my blog posts. I promise to make them as interesting and as informative as possible.
